Kenya Morans forward Ariel Okall on Tuesday bid farewell to his side Dynamo BBC after what has been a successful three months in the Burundian capital.
The Kenyan international on Friday, night led the Viva Burundian League side to a monumental Game Six 70-50 victory over perennial champs Urunani, to clinch his sixth career team championship.
A few days later, he announced his exit on X saying: “Thank You Dynamo BC. I wanna appreciate the amazing basketball fans in Burundi for showing me nothing but love. Y’all were amazing. Ahsante (Thank you) sana VBL, Ahsante Sana (Thanks alot) Bujumbura.
The former Kenya Ports Authority player concluded his statement with the words: ‘We move’, bringing an end to his short spell with the now four time champions, who will be expected to play in next year’s Basketball Africa League qualifiers.
Okall joined Dynamo early May, with his contract officially expiring at the end of the 2023 season - Friday.

In that period, he went on to have some standout performances, breaking out to the team with 14 points and seven rebounds in just over 16 minutes to help his side register a revenge 69-47 victory over Urunani at the Bujumbura State Department Grounds - his second game at the Oliver Ndayiragije coached side.
In the playoffs, the e former Namuwongo Blazers player was on a tear, racking up 25 points (five three-pointers made), six rebounds and four assists in a 94-66 win in Game 2 of the finals.
As part of the team celebrations, the team - established in 1968 - had a moment where they visited their fans in their homes, appreciating their tremendous support throughout the season.
Behind Israel Otobo was Okall in the Most Valuable Player rankings, coming shortly after he had claimed the best center cum forward title for his outstanding performance in the 2022-2023 Oman Basketball League season with Ahli Sidab.
“Time for some little vacation with family as I contemplate on my next step,” he told Mozzart Sport early Tuesday, as he made the trip back to Nairobi.
